Promote Yourself!

by Lori Kesinger, Program Manager

Audio-Reader airs public service and promotional announcements at the end of each hour of programming to fill the time between the end of your program and the top of the hour start of the next program. We would like to vary the voices on these announcements. Below is a generic script that should apply to most programs. If you wish to record one (or two) for your show please do. Load a new "number" in your studio, note this number either on the green sheet for your program or on another green sheet and return it, along with your program sheet to the bin in Jennifer's office. We'll harvest it from there. Any questions, ask Lori, Art or Jen.

Script:

Hello (or Hi) this is (your name), host of (name of your show). I invite you to join me each day of the week at (time show airs) for the latest news from (name

of your publication/publications).

Book readers may also record promos; just add the name of the author and leave off the day and time - we'll stick that in when the book is scheduled.

Script:

Hello this is (your name). I invite you to join me as I (read name of book) by (author).

If you read live or for Telephone Reader and want to record a promo, see Lori and we'll develop a script and schedule a time to get you recorded.

Thanks!
